The Wanderer Filmmaker

Among the thounsands of diferent artits that exis t or have existed is kind of difficult choose a favourite one, there are a lot of talent people but if I should choose one, I think of Alejandro Jodorowsky. He was born in Tocopilla in 1929, he is a film director, writer, actor, puppeteer, he invented a therapy named “Piscomagia” and he is a mime too. But I am to talk about his work as a Filmmaker (but Im really love his work as a comic writer too). As a Filmmaker he has eight movies, his cinematographic style is very surrealistic, I really love his sensibility to show the symbolism, he said: “The financing of my first films was obtained from bandits, crazy people, naive, swindlers and bottomless checks. They have survived in cinephile memory because they are honest”. I want to talk about the anti-vaccine movement. I am going to talk with data (could be boring, but its only the truth). In 1988 when WHO (OMS) started with the polio vaccine campaign, polio left more than a thousand children paralyzed every day . In 2001 there were a lot less than a thousand cases in the whole year, today there is more than 73 countries over the world which were declared free from polio. Another case, Smallpox was caused by the variola virus that emerged in human populations around the year 10,000 BC. It was such a lethal disease that in some ancient cultures it was forbidden to name children until they contracted the disease and survived it. Their mortality rate was up to 30% of infected patients. That means thousands of death children, today the smallpox is considered eradicated since 1980. Thinking about study some after finish my career it is to soon, I am just a sphomore student so my career it is still a long road. However, it is assumed that I need to write something so I went to the page of the University and looking for something interesting, in the web page of the Image and Comunication Institute there are two interesting options to do in the future: a diploma in digital comunication and a master´s degree in documentary film. Nowadays the digital comunication is the more important way to the media, so know more about this area is a very usefull skill, get closer to the new technology tools, explore the new ways to the digital relationship beetwen the people and the internet infaces, how they use it, the ways to Access to the information and how I can use that information to bring films and other proyects to the people. My future work?  I do not know, I do not see this as something real, studying cinema was a naive impulse, so maybe in the future I see myself making fiction movies, I would love to write scripts and direct movies, of very different genres, could go from the drama even science fiction, in Chile we are still very boring in the subjects, we can dare to do different things: fantasy, special effects, science fiction, horror, ghosts, monsters and martial arts, ha ha. When I was a kid, my mom always told me to leave the TV, she used to tell me not to watch movies until so late, I was really a fan of television and movies and now most of my life is spent in this, I would love to make films like those that amazed me as a child, fantastic and exciting movies. My university life has been extensive, I passed 5 years at Nursing school and now 2 in filmstudies, some of my hardcore stories happened when I was a nurse. Here in filmstudies I have many fun times, parties, meet new people, watch a lot of films and stuff, but the life as a nurse, was hell. I worked in several hospitals and consulting, I remember some patiens, all of them were really kind, but illness isn´t a pleasaurable thing. The diabetic foot was a really disgusting, you need to clean the area, some times they miss their toes, strange liquids and blood was pictures that you remembered at the lunch time. The human misery smells really bad, some times I went to my house only for a shower because some contagious diseases. But the human heart needs to get over, your work is struggle for their recovery or in some times, gives a decent time before dead.
